Safe and Secure Computing

Safe and secure computing has become mandatory when connecting to the internet. Not only must you think in terms of protecting the data on your computer, but unfortunately, we must protect our personal identity from computer hackers, identity thieves and predators too. Take the time to visit the links shown below to familiarize yourself with the threats and how to protect yourself.

A great article about computer security can be found here. This article was recommended to me by a teen youth group at a library youth department. It's a great article that discusses online safety and security. The topics covered are viruses and worms, spyware and adware, phishing, spam, browser hyjacking, and other security tips.
